Dr Cristina De Miguel

After receiving her degree in veterinary medicine by the Universidad Complutense of Madrid (Spain), Cristina relocated to England in 2011 where she did her internship at Liverpool University. In 2014 she completed both her master’s degree and residency at the Royal Veterinary College (University of London) obtaining her specialist status in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia. 

Cristina worked in a small animal private referral hospital in southern England for 2 years before moving to the US. For the past 8 years, and before joining HSR, Cristina was a lecturer at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Cornell University, where she enjoyed teaching and doing extensive research in small, large and exotic animal anaesthesia. 

Cristina likes all aspects of anaesthesia, but is particularly interested in local anaesthesia techniques and pain management of patients.
