Dr Ela Paszko

Ela graduated from the University of Life Sciences in Lublin, Poland in 2014 and is currently studying towards achieving an Emergency Medicine and Surgery certificate.  

The family story is that Ela chose to become a vet as she promised her granddad that she will be a veterinary surgeon and look after his farm!

As she continued her academic journey and gained practical experience, Ela discovered a passion for critical care and emergency medicine. It was only after encountering a diverse range of emergencies and critically ill patients that she truly began to appreciate the complexity and uniqueness of each case.

A night in the life of Ela:

“My usual night shift starts with familiarising myself with the inpatients hospitalised in High Dependency Unit. Patients in HDU usually are very poorly and need intensive monitoring. Providing emergency care is a challenging yet rewarding field that requires handling multiple tasks, adapting treatment plans, and managing a heavy workload all at once.”
